Who operates CheaperSitters
CheaperSitters is an assumed business name of ĀRU Intelligence Inc. registered in Oregon as CHEAPERSITTERS, Registry Number 262234199. CheaperSitters.com™ is operated by ĀRU Intelligence Inc. This notice explains how information is handled when you use the CheaperSitters website, caregiver marketplace, support tools, and related web services.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide and information generated through use of the service. Depending on your activity, this may include your name, email address, phone number, city or location, account type, caregiver profile and photo, experience, availability, rates, skills, family job posts, booking requests, reviews, messages, support requests, safety reports, block actions, uploaded documents, background-screening intake information, and technical or usage information needed to operate and secure the service.
Sensitive information
Some caregiver screening workflows may involve sensitive information such as legal name, date of birth, address, identity documents, or screening-related records. We restrict public display of this information and use it only for the screening, safety, compliance, support, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes for which it was collected.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; provide caregiver profiles, search, jobs, messaging, booking and review features; support screening workflows; personalize marketplace results; respond to support and privacy requests; investigate reports and abuse; prevent fraud; maintain platform security; improve product reliability; enforce our Terms and Community Standards; and comply with applicable law.
Public marketplace information
Information you intentionally publish in a caregiver profile, job post, review, or other public marketplace area can be seen by other users and visitors. Do not publish sensitive personal information that you do not want publicly visible.
Service providers
We use service providers that help with hosting, authentication, communications, storage, security, analytics, payments or screening when those features are active. We provide them information needed to perform their services and require appropriate protections consistent with their role and applicable law.
Safety, moderation and legal disclosures
We may review reports, messages, profiles, jobs and related records when necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, safety concerns, policy violations or technical incidents. We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, comply with law, respond to valid legal process, or address an emergency involving risk of serious harm.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate safety, fraud-prevention, dispute, accounting, legal and compliance purposes. Retention periods vary by data type and legal obligation. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile information through your account and request privacy assistance through the Support Center. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, or to appeal certain privacy decisions.
Account deletion
Registered users can initiate account deletion from Account & Privacy inside CheaperSitters. We delete associated personal data through our deletion process except information that must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute or other permitted purposes.
Children and age eligibility
CheaperSitters marketplace accounts are for people age 18 and older. The service is not designed for children to create accounts or independently submit personal information. Family users remain responsible for information they choose to provide about people in their household.
Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect account credentials and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the service, vendors, laws or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated through the service when appropriate.
