Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using CheaperSitters.com™, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Notice and Community Standards. Marketplace accounts are limited to users age 18 or older. Families and caregivers must also accept the role-specific marketplace agreement presented when they select their account type.

Role-specific agreements

Family accounts are subject to the Family Marketplace Agreement. Caregiver accounts are subject to the Caregiver Marketplace Agreement. Additional operational policies are available in the Policy & Compliance Center.

Marketplace role

CheaperSitters provides technology that helps families and caregivers discover, evaluate and communicate with one another. Unless expressly stated otherwise, ĀRU Intelligence Inc. is not the employer of caregivers, is not a party to private care arrangements between users, and does not guarantee that a user, job, booking, credential, reference or screening result is accurate, current or suitable for a particular purpose.

User responsibility

You are responsible for information you submit, your interactions with other users, compliance with applicable law, evaluating whether another user is suitable, discussing duties and compensation, verifying credentials and references when appropriate, and making your own hiring or engagement decisions.

Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You may not sell, transfer or share an account in a way that misrepresents who is using the service.

Profiles, jobs, messages and reviews

Content you submit must be truthful, lawful and relevant to the marketplace. You may not impersonate another person, fabricate a caregiver or family, create fake reviews or bookings, misrepresent credentials or experience, manipulate ratings, publish deceptive rates, or post content designed to defraud or exploit another user.

Safety and prohibited conduct

Harassment, threats, hate or abusive conduct, sexual exploitation, trafficking, stalking, fraud, phishing, doxxing, illegal services, coercion, attempts to exploit minors, malware, scraping, spam and attempts to bypass platform security are prohibited. We may remove content, restrict visibility, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or take other reasonable protective action.

Reporting and blocking

Users can report objectionable marketplace content and block users or caregiver profiles through available in-app tools. We review reports based on the information available and may take action under these Terms and our Community Standards.

Background screening

Where screening functionality is offered, screening is subject to applicable disclosures, authorizations, third-party provider terms and law. A screening status or badge does not guarantee a person's identity, character, competence, future conduct or suitability. Users should continue to interview candidates, verify relevant qualifications and use independent judgment.

Payments and private arrangements

Unless a CheaperSitters feature expressly processes a payment or transaction, users are responsible for arranging compensation, taxes, insurance and other terms between themselves. Do not send money based on suspicious requests, gift-card demands, wire-transfer instructions or other scam indicators.

Intellectual property

CheaperSitters.com™, the CheaperSitters brand assets, original product design and original service content are owned by ĀRU Intelligence Inc. or used with permission, except where third-party ownership applies. CheaperSitters.com™ and associated marks are claimed trademarks of ĀRU Intelligence Inc.

Service availability

We work to keep the service reliable, but features may change, be interrupted or be unavailable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an as-available basis and we do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free information supplied by marketplace users.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, abuse prevention, security, repeated policy violations or protection of the marketplace. Users may initiate account deletion from Account & Privacy.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service or applicable requirements change. The updated date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
